Many masters stayed here on retreat, including Patrul Rinpoche and Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche.
Here, at the age of 15, Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche performed an eighteen month retreat on White Manjushri. Upon it's completion, he had fully realised Manjushri and manifested all His qualities.
Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche spent many years on retreat in the hermitage, and many of his texts were written whilst staying here.
