Amnyi Trulchung Rinpoche heading to Wellington on Wednesday March 9th.

We are very happy to report that Rinpoche will be visiting Wellington on Wednesday March 9th. He will arrive on flight NZ 5742 at 14:35pm - please feel free to meet and greet him at the airport.

Rinpoche's first event this upcoming visit is to speak at VUW to a Religious Studies class on Thursday the 10th from about 2:10pm to 3:30pm. The venue is theatre 105 in the Hugh McKenzie Building (Just off Kelburn Parade by the over bridge on the uphill side). All are welcomed to attend Rinpoche's talk at VUW – many thanks to Joseph Bulbulia for making this all happen.

Rinpoche has also been invited to bless the Opening Ceremony at the WOMAD Festival on Friday the 11th and hold a workshop the following day. Rinpoche is a composer of Tibetan sacred songs that have been recorded and are performed by well-known musicians in Tibet, China and Nepal.

The workshop on Saturday the 12th will be from 1:00 - 2:00pm. Rinpoche will play a selection of recordings of his sacred songs and also explain how they relate to Buddhist philosophy. This will be followed by chanting and a blessing. It will be a wonderful event, so let us know if you are planning to attend the Festival and hopefully we will all meet there.

Upcoming classes with Rinpoche at Dhö Nyak Ösel Ling – Wellington.

Rinpoche will start teaching "The Four Noble Truths" at Turnbull House on Sunday the 13th at 10:00am. There will be a break for lunch then class will recommence from about 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Cost is $60 or $100 for the two Sundays [13 March & 17 April] that Rinpoche will be here to give these special teachings.

Rinpoche will continue to teach "The 37 Practices of the Bodhisattva" on Monday the 14th from 7:00pm to about 8:30pm. The fee is only $15 per session and the course continues ‘by correspondence’ every Monday night after that to April 18 [excluding Easter Monday]. Please feel free to come along as all are welcomed to attend any or all of these classes.
