The Wellington Tibetan Buddhist Centre was established in 2005 to provide a conducive environment for Wellingtonians to study the Buddhist path with Amnyi Trulchung Rinpoche.
The Tibetan name of the Centre, Dhö Nyak Osel Ling, translated as The Abode of the Clear Light of the Dharma, was bestowed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
The Centre follows the Rimé movement of Tibetan Buddhism, which emphasizes the common ground shared by all Buddhist traditions. All begin with the practice of calm abiding meditation, or learning how to come home to our innermost pure awareness, the state of natural great peace.
Wellington Tibetan Buddhist Centre classes are held at Turnbull House, 25 Bowen Street (opposite the Beehive). Please let us know by if you would like information about Amnyi Trulchung Rinpoche's teaching schedule in Wellington.
